We insist that you come here, to Thunder Bay, Ontario, to pick up your puppy or dog! This way you meet your new furfriend before you fill out the paperwork to confirm your adoption! All adoptions are $325 unless stated otherwise.

LUCY

Hi, my name is Lucy! I’m a shepherd mix and about 2 years old. I’m roughly 60 pounds but still trying to put on some weight. I came to rescue with my two little boys when they were only 9 days old. It was a little bit scary at first, but then my foster sister taught me all about toys, treats, and zoomies!! I love to make sure every room in the house has at least 4 or 5 toys and I’m happy to play alone or with dog or human friends. I think I’m pretty smart because I learned so quickly how to sit and shake my foster humans paw (I get treats when I do this so I shake paws every chance I get). I still need to learn some manners but it’s only because I’m sooo happy and I get excited! I’m very food motivated, so teaching me how to be the very best girl should be a breeze. I’m very good at asking to go outside and I can stay home for at least 4 hours and have no accidents. I can also walk very well on a leash and love going for walks!

MINXIE

Hi everyone, my name is Minxie. My dad is Pippin and my mom is unknown but I have longer legs than my dad. I’m around 1 years old and weigh around 25 pounds. I’m great with cats, dogs, and people – it’s a whole new world for me. I’m doing great in my housetraining. I love to run around all over the yard with the other dogs. I’m a very happy gentle girl. I’l be fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and my spay is being booked (the rescue pays). I’ll be ready to start a trial on Feb 4 so please fill out an adoption application below!

Hi, my name is Pippin. I’m a 2-3 year old corgi mix and I am the sweetest boy. I’m very shy and timid when meeting new people but if you’re patient with me I’ll become your best friend. I’m new to this whole living inside thing but I’m catching on very quickly and I do all my business outside. I’m very food motivated and I’m learning to sit and I come when I’m called. I weigh just over 25 pounds.

Hi, my name is Lexie and I’m a really a sweet dog – so my foster mom says. I’m a beautiful mix breed girl about 1 to 2 years old. I’m slowly starting to learn recall (for a piece of hotdog, lol!). Sit and shake a paw are coming along too. I’m good in the house with NO accidents. I like to be inside watching tv – it’s pretty kewl! I know how to walk on the leash with no pulling. I’m very active and love being on the move, but I also have a soft side. I’m super loving, I give great kisses, and I absolutely love meeting new people. I’m always happy to say hello and make new friends!

I’m just turning 7 weeks old and already doing really well with potty training. When I’m in my playpen, I’ll let you know when I need to go, and once the door opens, I head straight to my potty spot like a pro. I’m a smart boy and I love learning.

At night, I’m happy to cuddle with my humans, but I’m also totally okay sleeping on my own with the lights off. I’ve got a great balance of independence and affection. I’ll be ready to go to my furever home on Feb 5 when I’ll have 2 vaccines and be microchipped and dewormed.

Ashes is a lovely female German Shepherd mix around 3 years old. She has the most wonderful personality: sweet, calm, playful and very loving. She’s great with all her foster’s dogs, fantastic with children, and loves to please. She knows her basic commands such as sit, lie down, and shake a paw, and is great on the leash too. She’s fantastic with her recall training – it really helps when you have treats for her! She’s also doing great with her crate training too. If you’re the kind of person who likes to get out and get some fresh air, Ashes is your girl. She loves her walks and thoroughly enjoys relaxing by your side. Ashes needs a home with at least another dog and someone that is home lots for her. Whoever adopts Ashes will feel like they’ve won the lottery! She is that special! Sookie is a sweet, happy puppy with the perfect blend of playful energy and cozy calm. She loves being outdoors (rolling in the snow is her favourite!), and at home she’s a little shadow, happily following her foster mom from room to room just to stay close. She is a shepherd mix about 4 months old (we think).

When her people are out, Sookie keeps herself busy with toys, naps, and the occasional curious puppy investigation. She adores kids, is friendly with other dogs, and is gently curious about cats, making her a wonderful little social butterfly.

Sookie is doing great with outdoor potty training and making awesome progress with crate training. She would thrive in a home with kids or other pets and is ready to bring laughter, cuddles, and lots of joy to her furever family. MAXIMUS

Maximus (Max) is husky/sheph/collie and any other mix, about 3 to 4 months old, and currently weighing about 22 pounds. He’s very lovable, smart (learns quickly), and energetic. He plays well with his foster sibling which area larger dogs . Maximus quietly observes his foster siblings and therefore would benefit from a home with an older pet sibling to show him the ropes. He has excellent recall, has already learned “outside” & “come”, does well with a crate and sleeps in it through the night. He enjoys attention, pets, being picked up and held, but not as interested in snuggling on the sofa. Because Maximus was found as a stray, he is food motivated which helps with his training. He is working on potty training outside and will need consistency and routine to thrive. Whoever adopts this cute fur ball will have won the lottery of pups and won’t be disappointed!
