Hello, my name is Franklin and I’m a one-year-old, 50 lb male mixed breed (probably some lab and husky) looking for my furever home. When I first arrived, I was a little shy, but it didn’t take long for me to come out of my shell (Get it?! Franklin the turtle and his shell?!) and realize how wonderful humans can be! I’m such a gentle soul and very friendly. I’m great with dogs of all sizes, super with kids, and as far as cats go, I haven’t met one but since I’m so eager to please, I think I can get along with them with the proper introduction.

I’m great on a leash, I know how to sit and lie down, and I’m working on my recall, which I may add is coming along quite nicely. I’m a very chill dog and I even get along great with my foster’s horse. When it’s feeding time, I wait patiently for my foster mom to serve her dogs and then me. And I sit for my treats and take them very gently. I love my walks and times in the pen with my new friends, just running around. I also love these new things called stuffies. Gosh I have fun making them squeak! Oh – did I mention that I’m handsome? Just check out my photo and see my lovely black coat and that cool white tip on my tail.
